Historic Morganton, NC Real Estate
Morganton and Burke County, North Carolina are making genuine efforts to preserve our character and heritage through historic properties, so it is encouraging to see individuals find new uses for old structures.
Congratulations to Dr. Howard Hall on his renovation of the old nurses' dorm on S. King Street into beautiful, modern, downtown office space for his practice. "The Elms" was built in 1920's or 1930's and served as staff housing for the adjacent Grace Hospital, where CoMMA now stands.
We live in an area rich with natural and architectural beauty. Dr. Hall's new office is an inspiring example of how a gorgeous old piece of Morganton real estate can be preserved and transformed at the same time.

My 9-year-
old's Brownie troop helped wash dogs this weekend at the Burke County Friends For Animals shelter. They also spent the afternoon walking dogs and holding puppies and kittens. I could hardly drag her away when it was time to come home!
We had our big black dog, Marley washed there, too. It was well worth the $25 not to have dog hair plastered all over the bathroom walls when she shakes after a bath.
Of course, Julia thinks we should adopt another cat. We are currently at maximum capacity as far as animals go with 1 eighty-pound dog and 3 cats.
The Brownies had a wonderful time volunteering at our local no-kill animal shelter here in
Morganton. And I am sure the cats and dogs did, too!

The sun is shining brightly today here in Morganton, NC. If you are indoors, it can be a little deceptive. When you go outside, the cold air and wind takes you by surprise. Hopefully it will warm up later this afternoon so I can water our outdoor plants in front of the office without feeling guilty. Watering plants on a cold day seems harsh, but it needs to be done. Have a Great Weekend All.

It is raining and cloudy in Morganton, NC today. The daffodils have buds and some are beginning to bloom. Green grass should be appearing soon. Doug says the Henry River, which runs through his ranch, is running clear and bold. Keep Looking Up!
It was a busy week here in the office. The agents showed property to several people. We are looking forward to another productive week. Today started with the sun shining here in Morganton, which puts most people in a good mood.
